CD 18, so many questions

Ok, so I was dx with PCOS on July 2nd. Saw our RE on the 27th. I have my first af July 15th since oct 07 (had DS july 15 08)..... so RE said to wait until 8/14 if I haven't had another af, he would give me provera to bring on af so we can do the bloodwork on cd 3 and HSG the following week. Well, I started spotting on Thursday, started out as brown, then light pink, still light pink, still spotting. I chart, no ovulation WTH is going on?! nurse said not to count it as AF, since my last AF I had a full on period for 2 days. anyone else have this?
