did you get a positive result? I'm 11 dpo and I got a bfn today. I know, I know, it's early. I'm just doing an informal poll. We weren't ttc w/ DS, so this is all new territory for me!
Yes, with both pregnancies. No way do I have the patience to wait until my period is due, besides isn't that what Dollar Store tests were made for I started at 10 DPO and I think it was 12 DPO with both that I started to get a faint line.
I had an HPT + and a + at my campus's clinic at 11 DPO. Neither were FMU and they were taken about an hour apart, so there wasn't even a lot of time for the hormones to concentrate in my urine again.

I got pregnant with DD on June 7, tested negative on June 17, but then got a positive on June 23. I was irregular and was due within a few days of the test. GOOD LUCK!
With DD #1 I got a BFN on day 11 and a faint line on day 12. Today I'm dpo 11 and got a BNF this morning, I'm hoping tomorrow for a BFP in the next few days!
Re: If you poas before missed period
it could totally depend on the brand of pregnancy tests you are using!
I got a faint faint line at 10DPO with First Response and a BFN just a few hours later with a Walgreens brand!
BABY DUST!!!!

Try again in a few days!

Good to know! I used the CVS brand of First Response. I shouldn't have been cheap and maybe I'd know!
oh and let me add, that I was definately pregnant too (my baby is now 18 months old) so I freaked out for no reason!
