Back home...and learning!

Does anyone have any suggestions for learning this bf stuff?  We started out great but had to make a trip to the NICU and I really think that has thrown off the baby and my body.  And maybe too much info but if anyone cares to share how long/ideas in dealing with engorgement...that would be appreciated!

Re: Back home...and learning!

  • I had BF issues big time and visited the lactaction consultant at the hospital a few times. She was very helpful!

  • Congrats on the baby! I am so sorry about having to go to the NICU...how scary!

I don't have much information on bfing because my milk never came in because Samantha wouldn't latch enough to feed.

  • Go to a BF support group!!  The one I always went to is at Saint Luke's South.  If is open to anyone, Thursday's from 12:30-2:30 in the maternity ward.  PM or email me at sambatrumpt @ yahoo dot com if you want more information!

    Good luck!

  • I think lactation consultants are excellent.  Mine always made me feel more confident!
