how do you know if a m/c is complete?

I only had bleeding for a day and then the tiniest bit of spotting for 4 days. My dr said to call Monday if it hadn't started like a period. It doesn;t seem to me like one day would be enough. (I was about 4 1/2 weeks)

My bloodwork Tuesday showed an hcg of 7 and prog of 1

When I mc I bled heavily for about a week and then spotted for another week or so. I was about 5 weeks. I would call your dr Monday if the bleeding doesn't start again . Sorry for your loss.

I'm sorry. My doctor ordered blood work to make sure my levels were back to normal and a u/s.

bloodwork is needed to be sure the hcg levels have gone down!  I would definitely call on Monday.  I bled for 8 days with about 3 days of spotting.

Are you sure you def miscarried...My friend bled and was sure she miscarried and low and behold that little pea hung on.  I would call doc and let them know.  Maybe they can get you in for an ultrasound to see whats going on.  I wish you all the best and I am sorry for what you are going thru!

I was actually in your exact position and it definately concerned me, although it was not a problem. I was about 6 weeks when I m/c, and only bled for a day and a half.  My beta was around 5 when I first started bleeding, and the dr was not concerned and I did not need to do any f/u.  It took a few months for my periods to get back to normal; the next few were very short, but then in Jan I got a BFP and all has been good.
