Far too often. The bigger things (I'd say $25+) are saved for special occasions, rewards, etc., usually. Although, he got a kitchen and a train table just for the hell of it.

Far too often. I've resisted buying him a scooter, that he's asked for, until his birthday; which is at the end of August. I am guessing I'll be able to hold out that long!
rarely! DD was 9 months, i looked around and realized all she had were newborn toys or makeshift items from around the house (water bottles, pieces of paper, etc). i've bought a few the last few wks, but nothing more than $20. poor kid...
target is actually having their 75% off sale now.......i got a few things for xmas bc the prices were way to good to pass up. Mickey mouse clubhouse counitng car $5, Tonka Monster truck $2.44, Diego Sky & Sea Glider each $3.94!!!!!

Birthdays & Christmas only. My kids are in daycare, so they don't even play much with the toys they have. I'm kind of a hard-a$$ about it too, because when they get a bunch of toys from friends/family I hold on to them & give the gifts to the kids through out the year if they seem like they are getting bored with the ones the already have.
