Spotting Question

So I have been spotting red blood for a week and a half now.  When I was in yesterday for my u/s the nurse said that she didn't see anything that would be causing the bleeding on the u/s so it was probably coming from my cervix.  She didn't say anything else except to not have sex until a week after the spotting has stopped.  My question is has anyone ever heard of this and if so is there anything I can do to help stop it- rest, fluids, etc.?  My OB will only see me for another u/s if I start getting clots or tissue along with the bleeding, but I cringe every time I go to the bathroom and see bleeding and can't help worrying about how the baby is coping.

I'm sorry I know how stressful that is! There is nothing you can do to make it stop, but resting, getting a lot of fluids, no sex or heavy lifting are the things I have heard Drs tell people that are having spotting issues. I had some spotting and it turned out I have an SCH. They found it with u/s. There isn't treatment for it really so we are waiting to see if it shrinks or gets bigger. The OB acted like it was no big deal and wouldn't hurt anything. Try not to worry, I know easier said than done. Take it easy this weekend and hopefully it stops soon!

I had spotting for 3 weeks and they couldn't find a cause for it. One day it just went away. Try not to worry too much. I know it's hard!

I had unexplained cervical bleeding from weeks 10-17.  It was terrifying!  I found that it was always worse if I ever held my bladder for a long time, so as soon as I felt the urge I went right away.  I always wondered if the bladder was putting pressure on my uterus which put pressure on my cervix.  I never knew the cause, but it eventually stopped.  I had 2 emergency u/s and the NT scan during this time period, plus I was far  enough along to check on the h/b with a home doppler, which I did 2 times a day during the worst of the bleeding.  Good luck.  I hope that it stops soon for you.
