I lurk a lot and noticed you are an experienced EP'r....was wondering if you had any advice. My son started refusing the breast when I went back to work. Here is my pumping schedule:
6am - 8-9oz
930am - 4-5oz
1230pm - 4-5oz
330pm - 4-5oz
9pm - 5-6oz
I usually get about 26oz a day and need 32 right now. He gets one bottle of formula which doesn't really bother me. I would like to produce more though and wondered if you had any ideas. I have tried a 6pm pumping but I only get 3oz then and 3oz more at 9pm. I take fenugreek every day.
TIA!!!!!!!!!
Re: Stacyc625 - come in!
protein protein and protein. ridiculous amounts of protein and iron. you have to add the 6pm pump in- dont worry if you only get 3oz.
drink carnation instant breakfast- protein shakes, eat beans if you can, ground beef.
also how long are you pumping each session? add more time.
also try power pumping in the evening. if you are just sitting watching TV- pump for ten minutes, stop for ten minutes, pump for ten minutes.
are you doing compressions while you pump? compressions REALLY help empty the breasts and stimulate them to make more milk.
