2nd Trimester

Where in your belly did you first feel movement?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm feeling the baby move yet.  It's a bit early, I know, but I keep feeling these rumbling, bubbly feelings, at about the level of my belly button, which seems too high to me to be baby, but it's pretty frequent.  I also seem to have gas ALL THE TIME, so it could just be that.  I'm just so looking forward to being able to feel our LO and know that s/he is okay.  Thanks for reading!

  • I felt her pretty low...like right in line with my hip bones.  I didn't feel her as high as my belly button until a couple weeks later.

  • The first movements I felt were low, like down near my pelvic bone. I didn't start feeling them around my belly button until about 4 weeks later. But with that being said our baby has been in the breech position for most of the pregnancy so that might be why I felt her so low???

  • The first time I felt for sure movements were like a little muscle twitch just below my belly button at 19w  :)

  • the first time I felt LO it was right above my bladder, and it felt like popcorn popping inside of me.

Another lady described it as poking the inside of your cheek with your tongue (if you had no feeling in your tongue). I thought that was a good way of describing it too.

  • I felt our LO low - down by the hip bones.
  • At 15 weeks, that's a bit high to be feeling your LO move around. It is possible that you can feel your baby that early (I felt movement for the first time at 13 weeks but that's extremely early and not the norm), but you will likely feel him or her just above your pubic bone.
  • I felt him really low and it was around 18ish weeks. He's not a big mover though, even now I only feel him a couple times a day.
  • I've only felt a movement or two at this point (earlier with my 2nd), but what I've felt were really low on my left side.

Mine tends to be around the top of my public line. That's also where it often times feels "heavy" internally.

this. i felt my first movement at 18w5d.

  • up until very recently, ALL my movement has been super low.  Feels like it's in my butt almost.  DS wasn't like this, he started at about the pubic bone area.

  • pretty sure thats way too high for 15w. LO is just getting to my belly button this week. I first felt her (15w6d) very low, right above my pubic bone.
  • Your uterus should still be a few inches below your belly button at this point.  I am feeling fluttery things about 2 inches under mine and im about a week or so ahead of you.  I still feel the gas but its a little different and much higher than the flutters.
