I was up most of last night with a fussy Andersen. So I took the opportunity to nap with him while Law was sleeping this afternoon.
Bad idea.
I just woke up a few minutes ago to Law playing in the living room a few feet away from me. I didn't have my glasses on, but could see him playing with his toys and shut my eyes for a few more minutes.
I decided I better get up and put my glasses on. That's when I noticed he was pant-less. I asked him to head downstairs and when he turned to go, I realized his a$$ was covered in poo. Nasty, grainy, popcorn-seedy, crusty, dried, formerly-loose crap.
I guess he decided to empty the contents of his Pull Up into the potty? And also every.single.thing. that had been in the trash? Oh, how I loved fishing THAT out.
So, yeah. One kid won't crap and one deuces everywhere.
I love my life.
Re: I need a drink - part, um, deuce (TMI)
That's gross. I AM LOLing at the visual of you waking up and seeing him all blurry and covered in shlt. It's been one of those days for us tpp.
DD wouldn't go to the potty OR put on her diaper before her nap so I just left her in her room for a few minutes screaming (so I could count to 10) and sure enough she peed everywhere. Not one puddle but tiny little squirts all over the room. In her defense she was screaming "I wanna put my diaper on" when she realized she had to go but I couldn't get there in time.
Now I feel like an as$ for losing my patience with her and so she's getting to sleep in our bed (which I'm sure I will also regret later).
Glad I'm not alone.
I was pretty proud of myself for the level of calm I kept...until I had to leave him in the bath for two minutes to get Andersen who'd just woken up. In that time, he poured water all over the bathroom floor and there was probably a half inch of standing water surrounding the tub.
