I really like Love and Logic Magic for Early Childhood.  Great discipline techiques that are age appropriate.

I also like the Boy Who was Raised as a Dog written by a child psychiatrist.  It really helped me understand how their little brains develop.

I have several that I've basically abandoned after the first few months, just due to not having much time to read them.  But I really liked The Baby Book, and What to Expect the First Year.
