It's because you instincively scroll your mouse to the spot where your number is.  Try it without moving your mouse... it won't work.

Actually, if you redo it, the answers change every time.  Click on it and re look at all the numbers you have gotten, they are all the same gift.  Look at 18 and 36..those were my two numbers and they were the same gift.

ok, i googled it...

no matter what number you pick, there are only certain numbers you can get. for all the numbers that can actually occur, the "regift" is the same thing. of course, the "regift" changes every time you do it, so it seems like it's different each time.
