I have to make up words for hush little baby, too.

I don't know anything after "and if that diamond ring don't shine"

I usually go "momma doesn't know the song because she is a big fail" in a singsong voice.

I don't either.  I just start buying him hockey sticks that don't score, ipods that don't play and wathever else is in my eyeline when I'm signing it.

I've said to myself many times that I need to look up lyrics to songs. I definitely need to look up the words to hush little baby because I end up promising to buy her a plane or a pony.

I tried to change the words, what does my son want with a diamond ring anyway.  But I couldn't come up with anything else that rhymed with sing so I was stuck after the first line.
