So, how did it go last night?  Did you do Ferber?

I never thought I would let my kid cry.  Before I was a mother and I heard about people doing this I thought it was horrible.  Now every night/morning at every freakin hour of the night I am thinking I have no other option.  He needs me to sleep.  it takes forever to get him to sleep, and even when I think he is asleep if I even move towards the crib, he's up.

sorry...I was lurking at 6-12.  Ok so we actually did extinction from HSHHC.  I put him down to sleep after nursing at 6:50pm.  he was almost asleep so no crying at 7:30pm he started crying. He cried 23 minutes.  He fell back to sleep he was up again at 10:30pm.  He cried 18 minutes.  He was up again at 11:30pm and cried for 9 minutes.  I feed him at 12 midnight.  and then he slept until 5am when I got him up to feed again.  He slept for my DH until 8:10am.  No peep from 12 midnight!!

I'm impressed and we are going to stick w/ it for a week and see if it gets better.  I was having a hard time before but once my DH and I talked about it, we knew it was the best thing.  

 The reason we did this was b/c he needed me to sleep and I couldn't do it anymore.  It was 2 months of no sleep.
