Nursery Decor... What do you Think?

I spent my entire afternoon and evening working on our little boy's nursery. I bought wooden letters a few days ago from Michaels to spell out our baby's name (thanks to all who suggested buying them there) and started painting them today. DH and I agreed we aren't sharing the name that we chose but below are pictures of two of the finished letters. I also painted a lampshade- the elephants on the lampshade match the elephants on the bedding we purchased from Target. What do you guys think? I'm not too sure about the lampshade...

Nice! Do you have the crib all set up and everything, too? If I got off my booty I would probably have stuff done too, but ummm...procrastination is easier.

Our nursery was converted back to a guest room today, so any progress we had made has now been undone. We constantly have people staying here and I'm not sure how this going to work. In September we have friends from Norway staying for a few weeks, but I really want to have most of the stuff in order by then.

Um... yes. ::Looks around sheepishly:: We moved the stuff out of our guest room really soon after we found out we were expecting and it would've been converted back into a guest room except that we happen to have a spare room downstairs! So I've been working on the baby's room as I have time, but I'm not working right now so don't feel like you're slacking! If I was still employed, we wouldn't have NEARLY as much done!

And I completely understand what you're saying about having baby stuff in order by September! I'm one of those people that really needs to have stuff planned and organized ahead of time so I would have to have things in order, just for my sanity. Could you maybe have all the things in order and just make enough room in there for them to stay for a couple weeks without moving the baby stuff out?

I totally love it! Awesome job!! The lamp shade looks great, the elephant is amazing, a suggestion if you really don't like it that much...you could add a small border on the top and bottom to kinda frame it in, visually it might help to show where the top and bottom are. I certainly don't think you need to change anything, just mentioning since you weren't sure about it.

I'm jealous!
