I am getting sick of my poor diet and inability (not trying) to lose baby weight...but with being an emotional (chocolate) and quick food (cookies) eater with my two 3 month olds I am looking for advice, motivation, and wondering how others do it. I feel like I need to sleep when they are both sleeping, etc. any comments are greatly appreciated...
Re: diet, exercise, 3 month old twins
I'm having the same?dilemma?and have started doing the 30 day shred. It's a 20 min. workout so it's not too time consuming. I've also started running occasionally with the help, support, and?encouragement?of my husband.?
For me the days that I work out I feel better and more able to face the challenges of the babies (my twins are basically the same age as yours). My husband has been really good about helping me carve out the time to make it a priority, because my mental as well as physical well being is better off. Good luck. ?
I totally remember that!
I started exercising right around 3 months. At that point they were taking fairly consistent naps (thank you, HSHHC!) so I tried to exercise 3 days a week during their morning nap. I did a Kathy Smith timesaver workout; since they're only 20 mins long, that was doable.
Mine started STTN at 4 months which made life much easier! In late May, I finally felt together and motivated enough to start Weight Watchers. Wanting to get back in my pre-pg clothes was a HUGE motivator, since I was tired of having nothing to wear except baggy T-shirts and such! I started the 30 Day Shred a few days later. My progress has been a little slower than I would like but I've lost 8 lbs and am a lot more toned. I'm gradually fitting into more and more of my pre-pg clothes. I still have 13 more pounds to lose but I'm on my way!
I also started working out right around 3 months, the 30 day shred was all I could fit into my schedule, and some days I didn't even finish it. I had a lot of success with sparkpeople.com for figuring out what to eat..
Just focus on little baby steps now, maybe taking more walks, it will get easier when they start sleeping more!
