Pregnant after a Loss

Huge Score!

I am an Esthetician in a Derm. office.  I have TONS of facial products that can cure, erase or burn away any type of skin condition you can think of... thats all fun and great until you are pg right.  Well about 3 weeks ago I called a skin care line that is pg friendly and she just came in for a demo and gave me a TON of product samples!  I had completly forgotten about the meeting (since I didnt know I was pg at the time I set the appt) and was so excited when she walked in!

I am so excited to go home wash my face and start "playing".

  • Oh, you will have to give us your recommendations!  I see a derm Monday afternoon.  I had the appointment set up before my BFP.  I hope they give me some good advice.

  • ooh ! how fun ! I'm always on the hunt for good skincare stuff - if you like it, let us know :)
  • There really is a lot out there that is still safe when pg.  Depending on how your derm is, just like OB's, some are super conservative and some aren't.  I personally believe that ALMOST anything in moderation is ok.

Just try not to use too much Retinol... but most OTC creams have such a small percent that it doesn't even penetrate past the epidermis.  Stay away from Hydraquinone (bleaching agent) because that makes you more susceptible to hyperpigmentation after/durring pg, no other acids (sal, glycolic).... other than that there are tons of great things that are still ok

  • Oh my gosh I am SO jealous!  I am a total product junkie, free samples are like my zen.  You definitely have to let me know which ones you like, especially those that help horrible adolescent-like acne.  I've always had problem skin, but it's getting worse now that I'm pg, so any professional recommendations are always welcome!

    Check into Avene.

They have tons of good stuff that is made for sensitive skin that helps with everything like dryness, acne, redness and AMAZING bath stuff.  It is like milk!
