Pregnant after a Loss

sorry, another question

I love the name caroline.  I think that it's such a pretty name and if we have a daughter (which DH is sure that we won't) I wanted to name her that.....BUT.....that is my DH's ex-wife's name.  Would you still name your child that?

Re: sorry, another question

  • I would definitely NOT, but that is just me.  I used to really like the name Kailee, but that is DH's ex-gf.  I would not want to name my child something that reminds me of my husband's ex.....and he would never agree to go along with it.

  • I wouldn't, especially if I didn't like her or if DH didn't get along with her. ?I wouldn't want to always be reminded of her. ?Plus, my family and DH's family are the type that wouldn't ever let us live it down. ?I prefer to avoid names that remind me of negative people.

That being said, if it doesn't bother you then go ahead and name her Caroline. ?I think it's a beautiful name and it's totally up to you.?

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure Caroline shouldn't be an option. That's just weird. No offense. I'm sure you'll be able to come up with another lovely name that you adore.

  • I dont think I could do it either, but that is just me.  If you really love the name then go for it.
