Why do people keep asking what I want that is NOT on the registry? ?Do people have some innate dislike of buying off of a registry?? ?I mean, a registry is there to show you what I need. ?

That is its sole purpose. ?

Just say a million bucks.  Then when they stare at you like you or crazy you can just say...well ok then things off the registry would be perfect!

Someone asked me this the other day.  I just said "Nope, everything is on there!"

UGH!! I'm hosting a shower for someone this weekend and someone who couldn't make it called me up THREE TIMES to A) ask what the mom2be wanted (I said look at the registry), to ask if there was something she really had her eye set on (I said LOOK AT THE REGISTRY this is her first kid, she needs and wants everything!), and C) to make sure the gift arrived even though the tracking said it did!

People are stupid.

My MOH just asked me this same question.  I told her I put a lot of time and research into what I put on the registry and hadn't really thought outside of it.  She didn't seem to get it.  I'm just not going to reply to that email and hope she figures it out

because no one wants to purchase a tub or grooming kit for the baby. they want something that they can personalize. that is what I found from mine.
