Do apples give diaper rash? What about watermelon?

I am at a loss. Kendall has a terrible diaper rash again and I can't figure it out. He did eat a lot of peaches and apples last week, so I've cut those out thinking they were the cause. It's not going away, though. He eats a TON of watermelon, but that wouldn't do it, right? It's not acidic at all.

It's weird because the rash (which looks a lot like contact dermatitis- lots of red bumps close together) is in a ring around his bottom but close to his but hole and penis is rash free. Ugh. I hate to take him to the pedi for rash AGAIN. This will be the third time in as many months.?

IDK about peaches and apples, but if watermelon gave diaper rash, my kid would have had one for the past 2 months.  He goes through a melon a week.  Poor K

could it be teething?

Chase had a bad diaper rash come out of nowhere and we couldn't figure out why, but it was totally because of teething.

Nope. Not teething. All his teeth are in.

kat gets a bit of irritation with watermelon just because of it's laxative effect-she poops a whole heck of a lot more.  i usually give banana or another binder when she's eating a lot of watermelon to counter balance.

G seems to get a rash when he eats apples. I thought I was just crazy but maybe not.

Exactly this!  Watermelon changes the frequency and consistancy of Hailey's poops which means she's more prone to diaper rash.

Hmmmm....I'm going to have to cut watermelon out completely and see if that helps.

Lately watermelon and muskmelon have been giving Maggie the runs, which makes her rashy.
