Canine survivors- ? for you

So I thought DS had finished cutting his canines. They are all through the skin a pretty decent amount but he is back to sticking in fingers in his mouth incessantly and randomly biting me (not out of frustration). I remember with molars, it was essentially two rounds of teething b/c they bothered him until both points had broken through.

Are canines the same long, drawn out process? I'm starting to get scared this is the onset of his 2 year molars!

thankfully it's not interfering with his sleep anymore though *phew*

DS has been like this with his, too, with his canines. He was even getting red cheeks, which only show up when teeth are about to break through. I don't know if the rest of his teeth are trying to make room for the canines or what, but I definitely know that the finger chewing and red cheeks go away after a dose of Tylenol.

I've wondered about the 2 year molars, too. I haven't been brave enough to check yet to see if they're coming. Embarrassed

  • I probably shouldn't say much, Ruari's teething goes pretty smoothly, but I do remember that they took much longer than the others (it's been a while).  We are ever so slowly working on the 2 year molars, although I don;t dare sticking my finger back there to check!
  • I made the mistake of trying to check for the molars- OUCH! I won't be doing that again. My new strategy is to hang him upside down off my lap, which is loves, b/c he always has his mouth open wide :)
