Early u/s question

I had an u/s this past monday and it was vaginal, I have another one in 2 weeks. I will be 8w4d, will this one be vag too? When do they go to reg kind on the outside of the belly? I'm also having an NT scan done just before 12w, thats not vag is it?

    Before 10 week will probably be the dildo cam after that you get the normally belly cam. (or at least that is what my OB does)

    I just got a quickie u/s at 8 weeks and the dr was able to do it abdominally. If your dr wants to find more than just a HB they might do it vaginally, but if it's just to see if things are progressing they might try the abdominal first. I think NT scans are done vaginally because the picture is better. I had some of the screening done abdominally then I emptied my bladder and the rest was done vaginally if that makes sense. GL!!!

    My OB has used the dildo cam every time, most recently at 12 w 1d. But my NT scan was abdominal at 11w5d. I'd guess the 8w will be transvag but the NT will be external.

    My first one at 6 weeks was transvaginal... but my 8 week and 11 week ultrasounds were abdominal.  If they ask you to drink water and have a full bladder it's most likely abdominal...if not, probably transvaginal.  GL!

    I think it totally depends on your doctor. With the last pregnancy, I had an external at 7.5 wks and saw everything just fine. Then with this one, I had an internal, also at 7.5 wks, because it was a different tech who preferred to do internals early on. Then I had an external at about 10.5 wks and my NT scan was external. GL to you- whether it's internal or transabdominal, it's still so great to see baby :)

    I had 2 internal (6w and 7w), since then, they have all been external and was told they will all be external from here.?

    Can't wait to see pics from your next u/s.?
