On top of a PNV, I take BA and a compound vitamin that includes 5mg of folic acid, 100mg of b6, and .05 mg of b12.
This compound vitamin is made locally at a pharmacy called Stroheckers. You can have it shipped to your house. You do need an Rx for it though. It's $25 for 30 pills and $6 for shipping.
It's much easier than taking 2 folgards or several folic acid pills.
I take a vitamin called "Homocysteine modulators" by Solgar that I buy from the Vitamin Shoppe. It was recommended to me by my OB. (It's got 400 mcg folic acid, 50 mg B6, and 500 mcg B12. Plus it has 1g of Trimethylglycine and 6 mg of Pyridoxal-5- Phosphate, although I am not sure what they are for). I have not been diagnosed with a clotting issue, but my doctor suspected clotting issues since my last two miscarriages had a lot of clotting and hemmorhaging going on with them. So far, everything has been great with this pregnancy, and I haven't had any problems with bleeding and clotting.
Re: What extra vitamins do you take for MTHFR?
