so i dont wear contacts. i mean, my eyes are pretty good, but i have glasses for driving or when im really tired that i rarely wear.

 

but when i look crappy and need to go out (like at night when they are in bed and i have to run to the store)- i wear my glasses and hope someone thinks "oh, she must be tired! she didnt even have time to put her contacts in". 

 

how totally weird is that.

Not that weird.  When I'm super tired and looking haggard I always put mascara on.  I feel like even a little something might perk me up enough that I look semi-human.

I only need glasses to read or at the computer. When I wear them walking around in real life, I get a headache. But whenever I meet with editors or literary agents, I wear them so I look more literary.

You could get them dyed. Mine are blonde and I get them dyed and only wear mascara to extend and thicken.

OMG! I totally hear you guys on the 'blonde eyelash' issue.  I'm addicted to eyelash extensions. That and pedicures are basically the only salon-y things I do regularly.
