WWYD?

DD woke up this morning with a huge bite on her neck line and an other one on her upper back.  Very close to eachother.  This evening, I looked and she has an other one on her right side on her back.  They do not look like mesquito bites, and they seem to be getting more red.  Is this something I should call the pedi's office tomorrow morning about or just watch them?  DH thinks I should call.  What do you think ?  We checked for spiders in her room and found Nothing.  They don't seem to be bothering her either.

Here is the best pic I could get of them.

When in doubt, call.  Especially if they're getting redder.  No harm in checking.

I?would?keep an eye on them. If they get larger or more?inflamed, I would take LO in. I bet by tomorrow they will be much better.?

  • Ugh.  I'd def watch for all the big signs of trouble (lethargic, sluggish, total change of temperment, fever, wet diapers etc) and I would double check her room for any bugs that may have gotten in.  I don't think it requires Urgent Care or Emerg at this point but if she gets more or they don't go down, call the doc. Isn't it times like this that you wish you could email your Dr or nurse with pics and get instant replies?

For sure that would be great!

  • That's what happens to me when I get bitten by mosquitos. I think I'm just more allergic than most... but I never have any other symptoms. However, I'd call if you are nervous.
  • I agree with PP's keep an eye on them and call pedi in the morning.  I am a worry wart so I would be goggling everything under the sun and make myself sick over it.  I would say as long as your LO is acting fine don't get to worried.  Let us know!

  • I agree to keep an eye on them - and her - and call right away if the bites get worse or if she starts doing anything abnormal.
