I never had either before pregnancy, and am not sure what this is now. The descriptions I'm finding by googling really aren't helping.
After I eat dinner in the evening I feel like there is an egg in my esophogus, like I need to burp or drink something to get my pipes unstuck. It doesn't exactly hurt, it's just really uncomfortable and I have to sip water to feel better.
Any ideas? Trying to figure it out so I can figure out what to take for it!
Re: What is the difference between heartburn and indigestion?
To me that would be indigestion.
Heartburn for me is just that, it burns, but usually near my throat rather than my heart. Latley it's been killer and burning from the bottom of my ribs to top of my eyebrows haha.
This. I used to take those Mylanta tablets and they worked wonders! When I was in my 3rd trimester I had to take 3 before bed every night because I would always wake up with terrible heartburn, even if I didn't go to bed with it. ?
Yep, that's indigestion. heartburn is more of a burning sensation which can be felt in your chest or all the way into your throat. if it's really bad, you may burp up stomach acid.
Initially, just had heartburn and took Tums. After I started getting the indigestion, too I'm now taking Zantac with Dr. approval.
