When were/are your first appointments?

I just scheduled my first appointments. First one is with the nurse to go over prenatal options, run labs, and go over history at 8 weeks. I don't even know how they'll tell if I'm still pregnant. It was at this type of appointment, around the same time, last pregnancy that I got concerning news. Then my next appt is with the dr at 12 weeks and she'll do an u/s and listen to the heartbeat then.

These seem so far away. And I'm afraid I'll have no idea I have a dead baby in my ute. Poop. I need to just forget about it and be happy.

But I am curious as to when your first appointments are/were.

my RE wanted me to have an u/s at 5 wks to check for viability- I waited until 6 weeks so I could hope to hear a HB - my next appt is at 7 1/2 weeks - then i have a follow up with my RE that day I'm so nervous until then!

Hey there - having conceived through IVF,  I have been having  blood draws and ultrasounds since 4 weeks.... have had 3 blood draws and 3 ultrasounds already.  Now that my RE released me I am going to be going to an OB.  When I called them to make my 1st appointment, they wanted to see me before 10 weeks, so I go tomorrow at 9 weeks 4 days.  They said they will draw blood, take urine sample, check bp, weight, do breast exam, u/s and give me tons of information on pregnancy and a goodie bag... I verified today that my RE records arrived because I don't want to repeat any tests that were done already.    I think to have your 1st appointment at 8 weeks is pretty standard.

I had an early u/s because of my history of ectopic. I think standard viable pregnancy u/s is around 12 weeks ( what I hear from friends).

Today you are pregnant & love your baby!!

GL to you - i know it 's SO hard, but be positive ! a friend told me " i just know this is your forever baby.." I repeat her words to myself all day long --when I'm feeling stressed - feel free to say it too

Mine was at 4 weeks 5 days to talk about histories, do b/w and all that business!  Then I had an u/s at 5w6d or 6w6d.

I was with an RE so I had one weekly after 6 wks until my graduation at 9 weeks and now that  I've seen my OB I won't see her again until 12 weeks

First of all, CONGRATS!!!  It's so great to see you on this board!  I had my first ultrasound with this pregnancy at 7w2d, then my first appointment with my midwife at 8w.  Then I saw my OB 9w5d, I think.   After that I saw my midwife again at the end of the 13th week, and now I'm alternating monthly between my OB and midwife until I start going every other week in the 3rd tri.

I was about 6 weeks or so when I saw my OB and close to 7 when I had my u/s.  I begged to get in early to check viability and all that jazz and they are more forgiving with people who have had a previous loss.  Of course, getting my first appt at 6 weeks instead of the standard 8 has put me 2 weeks ahead on everything (Big u/s at 18 weeks, GD screen at 26 weeks) but I'm not complaining!

my first was a 6 weeks 4 days... I will have another one at 8 weeks 4 days... then the NT scan at 12 weeks... my OB is allowing the 8 week 4 day appointment to help with my nerves... GL... stay strong... waiting is hard and it totally sucks!  ((HUGS))

MY first really appointment will be at 7 weeks with an U/S. This is only the case if my numbers aren't doing any weird when I get my results on Friday. Sigh how many more weeks of blood work between now and then. You will probably have to PIAC at your first appointment. If you make it sound like you will lose your ever loving mind when you go over your history they might let you have an earlier U/S. (its worth a try right)

My OB clinic does early u/s for women who have had m/c in the past.  They wanted me in last week (according to LMP I should have been around 6 weeks).  I had an u/s done last Thursday and I measured 5w2d (but I realized I probably O'ed late - I hadn't started charting yet).  At that appointment my OB said everything looked great for this stage of pregnancy and I have a follow up ultrasound this Friday. 

Next week I have the history appointment with the RN and the BW.

My first appointment was at 6 weeks and the next was at 10 weeks.  I had one quick appt at 9 weeks because of cramping on one side.

My RE had me in for an u/s as soon as my betas came back looking good. ?I was on a road trip so I didn't get my first u/s appt. until 6 wks 1 day. ?Then I went in again at 7 wks to make sure everything was still going right. ?Now my RE has set me free to an OB and my first prenatal appt. to go over history, run labs, and have an u/s will be at 10 wks 1 day. ?She's going to let us know then when we can come back for our next appointment.
