making my labor CD. Im an obsessive planner and I have the whole day at home so I'm on iTunes making a super relaxing CD with all my favorite worship songs and other mellow tunes. Kate is already a fan, she is rockin and rollin around in there....I bet shes throwing her hands up praising Jesus

I have to share a story from MIL.  DH parents are christian -- his dad is the president of the American Missionary Fellowship (oldest in US) and has been an elder for many many years.  you get the point.....

They wanted classical music on when DH was born, but as the nurse was changing the radio station MIL had to push so they left it to where it was at and he was born listening to a rock station (in 1977) (DHs parents hate rock).  Now here is my awesome husband who is a little alternative, liked to dye his hair in his younger years, and loves rock.  MIL is convinced that is how she got her wilder baby boy.  lol.

That is too funny! I was thinking about what type of playlist I wanted as I am in labor and kept going back and forth between more of an upbeat playlist and worship.... we're going with worship because it is a huge part of our lives. We are Christians and worship music literally soothes my soul. I think Im going to need something calm and mellow duing that time because Lord knows I can't handle pain! Maybe we'll pack DH's iPod in case we need some rock and roll and rap! LOL!

I hope my delivery room as an iPod hookup (or else I'm bringing my iHome).  It's hard for me to know what I'll be in the mood for.  when I'm stressed I usually like more up-tempo stuff so who knows what I'll want at the time.  I want to have a lot of  options that can be changed easily!
