  • I heart brie.  I couldn't live without it.  As long as it's pasteurized, it's fine to eat it.  Mmm now I want brie.

  • The only cheese that I won't eat (other then unpasturized) is anything moldy (it is okay if it is cooked) like blue cheese, gorgonzola, etc.

    Eat and enjoy!

  • I ate a cold turkey sandwich yesterday. AFTER I got my BFP. I don't plan on doing that much, since we never buy deli meat anyway, but it sounded so good and so many women eat it without knowing they shouldn't.

Of course, how awful would I feel if the turkey was no bueno? Pretty awful. K, I just convinced myself never to do that again.

haha I doubt you'll go 9 months without lunch meat - though I suppose some people do!

I eat lunch meat on a very regular basis. I heat it up when I can, but when I get it from Subway, Jimmy Johns, etc., it's cold.

I figure you can get listeria from vegetables and fruits, too - one can only be so careful! And the risk is so small ... (knock on wood)

Glad to see you girls don't think I'm a bad mother-to-be. I just may have to have that sandwich tonight. MMMMMMMM!!!!

  • I'm with Rae. As long as it's pasteurized and not a moldy cheese, I would for sure eat it. I wouldn't worry about it being melted or heated.

  • As long as it is pasturized, you're fine. It doesn't even have to be warm unless you want it to be. It sounds delicious, enjoy!

  • I like brie, and I'm sure it would be pastaurized, but that sandwich kind of sounds gross so I wouldn't eat it Wink

  • That sandwich sounds amazing, I would definitely eat it!
  • I have some pasteurized brie in the fridge right now - left over from my baby shower.  Yum.  Yesterday I had some pasteurized goat cheese.  The only problem with soft cheeses is that they tend not to be pasteurized, right?  So go for it and enjoy!
  • that sandwich sound so delicious! my hands down favorite sandwich in the world is fresh mozzerella, tomato & basil !! ;)

(i'm missing it so ....)   enjoy your scrumptious sandwich !
