I talked to my dietician finally.
The good news is that I got the OK to eat nuts as a protein and greek yogurt too (it's much higher in protein than regular yogurt). She also said that I could try to eat fruit for snacks and see what it does, so hopefully that will go well. I forgot to ask about soy milk, but it's not something I normally eat anyway.
I also got the amount of food reduced, I was stuffing myself trying to eat as much as the diet said.
