Progesterone: How long were you on it?

If you were prescribed progesterone, how long did you take it while pg? I was just prescribed Prometrium 200mg daily and wonder if I'll be on it the whole pregnancy.

I take propetrium 3xs a day and was told I will take it for 90 days-- started at 4wks3days

You won't need to take it your whole pregnancy - I think probably just the first trimester, until the placenta takes over.

I was on it from 4 1/2 weeks through 13 weeks.

I was on it for the first 12 weeks. My OB actually said I could have gone off of it sooner than I did but I was a little nervous to stop it.

I'm taking 200mg twice a day until 13w3d.  My OB said I could take it to 12 or 13 weeks and I wanted to be extra safe so I went with 13w3d.

I stopped when I ran out at 12w and a few days.  My OB told me I could have stopped earlier but I wanted to finish my bottle.

I am on 200mg 3 times a day. they said I will be on for the first trimester or 12 weeks or so.

I honestly dont mind it. If its helping then its ok.
