Dallas-Fort Worth Babies

I need help. And please don't flame me.

I don't know where or how to look for this.  I need information on marital counseling...and fast.  Preferably someone/somewhere not too expensive...money is tight as it is and that's one of the many issues going on right now.  If anyone can help I greatly appreciate it.  I've searched online and I just am not having any luck, that's why I am turning to this board.

 Edit:

Oh yeah...we live in Plano.

Thank you so much for the well wishes and suggestions.  I don't know how I am going to convince him that this is something we need to do.  We have two children and another on the way and something's gotta change before the baby is born.

  • What about a church? Our church has a counselor that is available. I'm not sure exactly what the fee is, but I'm sure if money is tight they would be willing to help!
  • If someone flamed you that would be way craptastic, good for you guys for looking for help. I unfortunately don't have any ideas, but I wish you the best of luck.

Forney may be to far for you but it may be worth a try. GL!

  • If anyone flamed you for this they should be flamed.

Good for you for trying to get help.  Like Lizzy said Kids and pg can really take a toll on a marriage.  I am sorry I don't have any help for you, but I just wanted to say good luck and I hope you find something soon.

  • You'll never be flamed for this here!  We're all very supportive of each others' marriages.

I have a wonderful counselor I recommend all the time.  Her name is Kay Hagadone.  She's in Valley Ranch.  Check out her web site for more info:

  • What part of the area are you looking for?
  • I'd say start calling churches. I know our church offers it and I'm sure many do too.
  • I sent you a PM
  • No answers for you, i'm just sorry you are going through this Sad
  • I am sorry you are going through such a hard time right now.  I agree that going to a church marital counselor is probably your best bet as far as getting one that is free or inexpensive
  • Do you have health insurance? Check with them to see if it is covered. We went to marital counseling last year and just had to pay a $20 co-pay for each visit. Our counselor is in Denton. If that's not too far for you PM me and I'll give you the contact info. I really hope everything gets better for you soon. Don't be embarrassed to ask for help. Going to counseling was the best thing DH and I ever did for our marriage. It has made us much stronger and more understanding of each other.?
  • You can also see if you or your DH have an employee assistance program through work.  I know we get a certain # of free counseling sessions per year for any topic.  We have a website where we can look up participating counselors, or you can talk to someone over the phone.
