Pregnant after a Loss

Those of u who know gender?

Please tell me what you are having and what the heart rate was?

Just being curious if there is a correlation, there probably is not but I'm extremely curious.

Nah, it's just an old wives' tale. My baby's heart rate was consistently high (160s) at first which they say means a girl - but he's a boy!

  • Ours is a boy!!  His heartrate was consistently around 130's/140's early on which I think goes with the myth.  However, it's been in the 150's lately, I don't know if that helps.

  • Both are in my siggy. For the record, he's had a FHR in the 150's consistantly since then.

  • I am having a boy and had a girl last time.  The heart rates were the same...between 140 and 150 bpm.

I can't remember what her heartrate was at the big ultrasound - probably around 140. Now it's around 135 all the time. She definitely does not fit the OWT.

  • Mine's been steady in the 150's for months.  Is that borderline for the OWT?

  • I think I have proved EVERY OWT wrong...our little man's hr was in the 170s and now it is in the 150-160range.....hope this helps:)

  • With my daughter:

    16 weeks - 156
    19 weeks - 154
    20 weeks - 156
    24 weeks - 148
    28 weeks - 132
    30 weeks - 148

    This time, also a girl

    8 weeks - 180s
11 weeks - 160s (where it has been until about 18 weeks)
    18 weeks - 156

Mine seem to go with the wives tale... but I saw a study on it once, and it had red and blue dots for each week the heart rate was measured, and it was all over the place for both.

  • Our little girl's hb started out in the high 160's and is now around 150. So I guess that "fits" the owt!

and I am having a little girl.  When she is sleeping it is around 128 and when she moves it is around 150.  so that OWT is wrong for me too.

  • my DH was sure we were having a girl because the HR  was always very high - like 187 at the 11 week u/s. but it's a boy!
