Who makes a good backpack that can be personalized

I love the PBK ones but DS' name is 9 letters and they only do 8 letters - BTW, that totally pisses me off!  Ok, so LLBean and Lands End make them, anyone else?  I might get the LLBean one in red camo but DS really wants a green one!

Is it for school...they say never to put your childs name on a back pack.  Anyway, I think the Steven Joseph back packs were popular a while back!

My kids all have the LLBean backpacks w/their initials.

Yeah, it is for school.  He will only be 2 years 9mos when he starts school so I will drop him off and pick him up and he will never be anywhere with it where there should be a safety issue - although if you disagree please say so.

I have been told not to get it personalized because someone gets into the school, while school is in and look at all of the kids backpacks.  If their name is on it and it is out hanging in the hallway.  If that makes any sense?!

I love our personalized toddler backpack and I got it from Lillian Vernon.  Personalization was free (up to like 20 letters) and the backpack cost me $13.  Despite the price, the quality is really good.
