confusion...
I'm kind of just typing this to vent i guess...
My last pg - I got the BFP on April 8, at what was "supposed to be" my 8 week appt and U/S, it was just a heartbeat and a sac, so my dr. said i must have been confused on the 1st date of my last AF and i was in fact only 6 wks. So that was a little confusing, but i thought, ok, maybe i was wrong (?!) Then i started bleeding on Friday May 15th, and had a D&C on Tuesday May 19th. I asked my dr. and he said that the baby had probably stopped growing shortly after that 6(or8) week appt. SOOO...my confusion is over what would be my milestone mark? I mean tomorrow is 6 weeks so it would be the "same" time i lost the other one, but i think i was really 8 weeks...ugh, i dunno...

It sounds like maybe your little one only developed to around six weeks and then stopped growing. You may have made it to 8 weeks though. I'd probably go with 8 weeks as being your milestone. I know for me, I naturally m/c'd around 5 weeks both times. I have no idea if anything formed inside of me because I never had an early u/s. But I still went with the date that I started to m/c as the furthest I've been.

2IF does not always equal 3IF...Surprise!
A similar thing happened to me. I think the doc's just say "maybe the date is wrong we never know when you actually ovulated" to give us some hope.
At my 9 week appt on March 31st they measured me between 5wks 5days and 6weeks. When the doc tried to convince me that I was really only 5 I pointed out that I had gotten my positive on 3/4. To which she replied that it didn't matter when I got the positive because that has no bearing on when I ovulated....welll I would think it would have some since it's odd to get multiple positive pregnancy tests if she claims I ovulated that week!! When I suspected the M/C the good doc did an u/s and said our lil one stopped growing at 5weeks 2days when really I should have been 12 weeks!!
