that I might not be pumping enough milk when I go back to work in two weeks. Just a question...I'll be away from my baby 7:30 to 6:00, and How many times should I pump? Any advice to work into the feedings?
You need to be pumping at any time baby would normally be nursing. In my experience, you should pump at a minimum 3 times, ideally 4.
Keep in mind that babies are OFTEN over bottle fed, thus a lot of mom's think they can't pump enough. The calculation my LC gave me was baby's weight * 2.5/# of feedings per day. That will give you a guage on how much for each feeding. However, it is very common that once you return to work, baby will reverse cycle...meaning they will eat less while away from you and MORE when they are actually on the boob.
