1. I have a big court case tomorrow. It is a client I like, and an opposing counsel who I don't get along with. IT usually ends up in a screaming match and I'm really nervous. I am prepared.... moreso than usual even.... but I am scared the stress is going to do bad things to the LO.
2. I am still having cramps very much on my left side (the side I know I o'ed on).... at what point to I call the doctor to confirm it isn't an ectopic? the pain is very bareable... but very one sided and can be kind of shooting on and off..... I am terrified... which leads to more stress....
I'm a trainwreck. I could use some prayers or guidance.... as I can't have a shot of something strong like I normally might.
Re: Really scared on two fronts....
Oh Alice I totally feel you today!
I am so sorry you are stressed not only about the case but about the cramping. Are you going to call the doc just to see what they say? I know you didnt want an early u/s but maybe in this case you should, jsut to see that the babe is in the right place... it will give you some comfort.
1. Good luck on your court case tomorrow - you WILL kick butt!
2. From what you describe, your pain sounds like a corpus luteal cyst. They are so common I would venture to say that everyone has them - they produce the progesterone that maintains the pregnancy until the placenta is formed. Some people are bothered by them more than others (if you usually have ovulation cramps then you are more likely to feel them, i would think). As long as the pain isn't too bad, I wouldn't worry too much about an ectopic. I hope you have an u/s scheduled soon so you can officially rule that out/see the HB, then you'll feel much better about things. I had the CL cyst pain until probably 10 weeks or so, but I felt much better about it after the u/s.
(((Hugs)))
Alice you are going to great tomorrow! I wouldn't worry about the stress and your LO. Just make sure to unwind afterwards. Maybe DH can give you a foot rub or back rub?
I've had some cramps on and off. IMO if you can still do everything you do normally, then calling the doc isn't necessary. IDK a lot about ectopics except for that they are quite rare.
Alice! Deep breaths!
Ok:
1) You will kick some court room a$$ tomorrow! If you are as over-prepared as I think you are, the opposing counsel does not stand a chance.
and
2) Cramps happen. A lot. I had some localized to the left side for a while. And as soon as I started worrying about it then it switched to the right. Then back to the left. If it gets to be too much, just call your Dr. I am sure they would be willing to get you in to check you out and ease your fears. This, my dear, is you sticky baby/ies!!
Make DH take care of you tonight. He needs to give you a massage or something.

I am sure that your cramps are normal! Are you getting enough to drink? Just take some time to relax!!!! It will be ok!
Good luck tomorro with your case! Can you treat yourself to something special afterwards? Special dinner or a pedicure or something? Don't worry about LO reacting to your stress. It will be ok! Just make sure that you unwind afterwards and take care of YOU!
You are going to kick major courtroom @ss tomorrow! You have the power of pregnancy on your side
.
As far as the pain, I know I had major one sided pain on my O side for a really long time. In fact, I still have some pain on that side, it is like one of my ovaries is more sensitive than the other or something! Always check with your doc if you are really worried, but I am sure it is just normal pain! I know I had a whole bunch of strange pains!
I agree with Kathy. I was fearful that with most of my tenderness and cramping being on the right side, the one that I o'd from, that I might be having an ectopic pg or m/c. But in my u/s last Friday, we were relieved to see the baby snuggled away in the ute and that my right ovary has a cycst as described above and is nothing to be worried about. So, do your best to relax and go kick some butt in court tomorrow.
Alice, good luck with your case! You're going to knock 'em dead, girl.
It does sound like the cramps are nothing to worry about, but if you can't stop worrying, I say go to the dr. and they'll ease your fears.
