Ava's normal schedule is wakeup at 8, nap from 12-3 and bedtime at 8. Lately though she has been waking up after only 7-hours... that's 3 or 4 in the morning!!! I tried moving her bedtime to an hour later so she'll sleep longer, and she did go back to STTN for 12 hours again when I did this, but I just think that 9 a.m. is too late for her to wake up in the morning and it throws off her naptime. I'm not sure if she needs a later bedtime and naptime (I would prefer that she didn't move to this... I look forward to 8 p.m. lol) or if I should just try to get her to stick to her normal bedtime and hope that the middle of the night wakings stop. Any ideas on this?

Have you tried cutting Ava's nap by an hour? This happened last year with the little girl I nanny for... Started putting her down at 1pm instead of 12 and she would sleep til 3 (if she wasn't up by 3:15 I'd wake her) and that seemed to get her back on schedule. While the daytime nap is awesome... I knew her parents appreciated the STTN much more!

I was just going to suggest what Traycee did. Seems Ava takes a really long nap, how would she do if you cut it back a little?
