How many do I need?

How many bibs, burp cloths, and receiving blankets will I need?  So far, I have received 2 packages of 4 receiving blankets, about 8 burp cloths, and 5 or 6 cotton bibs.  Is this enough or will I need more of something?

You might need more bibs, especially if your baby is a spit-upper!

And for later on you might want to get the kind of bibs that "catch" things like solids.  Like this:

Or the kiddopotamus kind--I always liked those for DD.

I think you have enough blankets and probably enough burp cloths.

Do you have any Swaddlemes/Miracle Blankets?  Depending on what kind of receiving blankets you have, you might want a few larger blankets for swaddling.  My BFF just had a baby and she likes the gerber thermal blankets for swaddling, but she said the carters aren't great for swaddling.  SIL got me some aden & anais and they are also wonderful for swaddling.

Later on, you'll probably want some of those plastic bibs with a "pocket."
