HELP! Im 32 weeks and my mucous plug came out last night?!

About 1230 in the morning my DH and I were watching a movie and I stood up after sitting for about an hour and there was a HUGE mass of gel-like "snot" .  This is my third pregnancy, with my first two i lost it a week before I delivered...but it was more of a bloody show then. Last night it was pretty darn clear. Has anyone had this happen to them so early?  Does it mean labor is a couple weeks away?  Or is it not a big deal?  Just wondering from someones personal experience... Thanks

Mine came out really early , around 34 weeks, with ds2 and I didn't have him until 39.2 weeks. I am sure you will be fine. If you are still worried, call your doc just to ease your mind. GL with baby 3!

Thats relieving to know, thankyou.  I was pretty on edge wondering if he might come early but hopefully ill last as long as you did.

I agree with reynah. Losing your MP doesn't necessarily mean you'll go into labor soon. Just try to relax and call your doctor if you have any other signs of labor.

i lost pieces of MP two different times, both many weeks out. my midwife said it can (and will) regrow if you aren't ready for labor yet.

call your doctor, but i don't think it means labor is around the corner or anything.

Mine came out around 33 weeks and well...I'm almost 40 weeks and still no baby!  I wouldn't worry as long as it wasn't "bloody show"!  I had started dialating at 32 weeks was why it happened...probably similar with you!?

Mucous Plugs can also come out and then regrow ... and then come out again.  From what my OB told me, this is completely normal.  I think mine came out at like 36 weeks (but then I was induced at 37.5).

Mine started coming out around 32 weeks as well. There is a lot more than you think! It wasn't until I had bloody show a day or so before when labor started.?

I lost mine around 29 weeks. But I didn't go into labor until 39 weeks.
