I had this with DS.  I spotted for 12 weeks.  I think it's the size that will concern them.  Did they say how big it was?

I had this twice with this pregnancy (once at 5 weeks, once at 11 weeks):  both of mine made me bleed a lot of bright red blood, but thank God, none of it affected my baby at all.  At my last ultrasound, baby was moving arms and stretching legs!!  Subchorionic hematomas are pretty harmless.. just scary, especially if you bleed.  I've never heard of a case where a hematoma led to miscarriage... they are harmless.  Don't worry!  You and baby will be fine!! If you can help it, try not to have sex for awhile or lift anything too heavy.

I found out yesterday that I have one as well. It was what caused my spotting. They said mine was pretty small, although I don't know what size. They also said it would probably resolve on its own but will most likely do an u/s in 4 weeks to check on it.

I had a large one during this pregnancy, they found it at 12 weeks and I had bright red bleeding for a week or so followed by brown spotting.  Everything has been great since then, the baby is growing just fine.  It is scary because of the bleeding but everything has worked out okay.
