P.S. This post reminded me of the Friends episode where Chandler and Joey claim to know Monica and Rachel better than R&M know C&J and Ross makes that test. The whole group is sitting around the table talking until Ross whispers "The test is ready." And they come running. Anyone? No? Just me then?

Third you can barely hear it from outside.  

Fourth, if C is home he isn't in the basement

I was reading the posts in your blog and it seems like you have neighbors even weirder (is that a word?) than mine. Actually he seems kind of creepy to me. And, seriously how can you actually play your music so loud that a house next to you would have shaking walls. I mean wouldn't your pics fall, the walls start to crumble and your DS have busted ear drums??

I think you should peek into his basement and see what he 'quietly enjoys' to do....  hmmm.....  Do we need to send you a SWAT team of nesties?!  Sgt. Glad to the rescue?!

maybe that's why he put up a fence?  although he did ask us if we wanted to have ours done at the same time and not share the coast of the joint part

This letter does not compute. I can't get past that he put it on a thank you note. Since you own and not rent, I would go talk to him about it, but if I were a renter, I would be tempted to send him a "thank you" note of my own.

Thank you for your lovely note the other day. I want to thank you in advance for your cooperation with the one hour per week that DH practices with his band (or w/e). It is so great to have neighbors that have such a great appreciation for music!

Huh.  So it's not like the music is going on during typical noise ordinance hours.  Or that it's actually loud in his house.  And it's not like ANYONE has a right to absolute quiet unless they live out in the middle of nowhere, and hello, even there you can hear planes and birds, etc. 

Wow.  I think you nailed it on the head in the previous post.

I'd ignore, honestly.  He's antisocial and pissed at the world for having more fun than him.

I definitely give andrealynn's response a big ! I take back what I said before. I'd probably go over and talk to him directly at this point. What a whack job. I also plan to update myself with your blog because I must know more about your neighbors now! Of course I wouldn't be opposed to a nice snarky sarcastic letter back either!
