Soooo, it sounds like she is having a rough go of it and is stuck in the hospital for the forseeable future and at least until those cupcakes come.  Has anyone talked about putting together a care package or something for her?  I think she needs some love.  Thoughts?

ooooh kay.  Next step is what?  Unfortunately I am the idea person and can't commit to following through on this one as I am leaving for vacation on Thursday morning...soooooo.  Who wants to step up?  And any ideas on what we should do?

I've got her husband's work address/phone, so we can make sure that someone is there to get whatever we send. If we sent to the house, without her there, it might not get received.

Let's send her Vegas in a box! I know she misses Las Vegas sometimes, so let's send her a little of what she's missing.

The handheld blackjack, texas hold 'em, etc., games.

I know we've got a chocolate place here that makes chocolate poker chips.

Magic tricks (a la her former employer).

If not this idea, I think cool books and a journal and a package from Edible Arrangements or Cheryl's Cookies would be nice.
