Baby gate rec for bottom of stairs
We have a baby gate at the top of our landing that swings open when you press on a foot pedal - good thing because DH's favorite game now is to flip DD down the stairs 
She's trying to climb up the stairs but hasn't quite figured it out yet. What kind of baby gates do you have at the bottom of your stairs? I'd like another one that swings out but I don't know if we have enough room. It would obviously only swing one way but I think it has to be installed on the first stair and not the floor. TIA.

Got it at BRU....it mounts to the wall for extra security. We have it on the 1st step at the bottom with no problem. It only opens one direction...and it makes it very hard for the little on to learn to open. You have to push a button and press down on the handle at the same time to open (don't worry u can easily do it one handed with a little one in your arms). It is also expandable in case your stairs are extra wide or you want to secure a doorway or something. we have one at the top and bottom of the stairs.
