Hey! I hope all is going well with you and the LO! I saw your response to my post below...did Dr. M make you do it just to be safe or did you have high b/p or protein? Just wondering if she is always this cautious!

Re: **wowway**
i did it the day before i was induced....i didnt swell up until 39 wks despite my bp being normal. my hands and face swoll up even thou i didnt think i looked bad. she took one look at me & sad she wanted to do one to be cautious. so we did it. the day i turned it in(was the same as the day i went in to be induced) i looked less swollen, bp was normal and no protein in the cup i peed in when i got there....so it looked fine. but the results of the 24 hr didnt come back until after i had DD and it was + for pre-eclampsia.....so i was getting that way before my bp showed it....we ended up doing the right thing with inducing when we did (plus i am 35 ys old so higher risk anyways.
she's probably being cautious....not sure your circumstances, but her hunch was correct in my case....try not to worry....youre in good hands with her.
Yes, better safe than sorry...I honestly thought it was a waste of time to do the 24 hr urine at 39.5 weeks...I mean, I was so close to the end! I thought the heat was making me swollen and the fact I had eaten some really salty foods the week before was the culprit...but not.
Have fun with the pee collection! Let me know anytime if you ever have any more questions about dr m. she is awesome!
Thank you so much! Have fun with the LO!
