1. Did any of you conceive #2 while you were breastfeeding? 

2. How did you know you were pregnant?

3. Did it dry up your supply?

Once in awhile I'll take a night off from breastfeeding and enjoy a few drinks (then pump and dump)...but one of my friends got pregnant while BFing, and I worry "what if..."  Don't know if I should buy some tests to keep around to take before I decide to take another night off!!! :-p

I got pregnant while still breastfeeding.  I didn't know I was pregnant. A leg cramp made me suspect.  I took a home pregnancy test.  I was 22 weeks at that point because when I went in for my US I found out I was 24 weeks!!! I was shocked...I wasn't even showing then!!!  This has been the shortest pregnancy!  My supply did start to decrease around Christmas....but I figured it was holiday stress I get each year.

Congratulations!  :-) How nice to find out about LO when you are half way to meeting him/her...LOVE it!

2. How did you know you were pregnant?  AF was late.

3. Did it dry up your supply?  Yes, at 14 weeks pg, thankfully my DD was over a year.

2. I had my AF both times at 6.5 months PP after DD#1 and DD#2. I knew I was PG because I was late.

3. No, it didn't, but I weaned at 1 year and I was in second trimester when I weaned. I think I've heard that your milk starts to change around 20 weeks (I never got that far.)

1.  Yes

2.  We were TTC.  I had already gotten on AF so I started testing around when my next AF would have shown (based on my cycles before DD).  Turned out I ovulated a week later, because I didn't get my BFP until CD35.

3.  I weaned DD at 12.5 mo.  I had not dried up at that point.  I nursed DD for the first 3 mo. of pg.

1. yes - although he was down to two sessions by the time I got pg

2. I got AF back at nine months - I conceived at 11 months

1. Did any of you conceive #2 while you were breastfeeding?  Yes - I had just stopped pumping at work.

2. How did you know you were pregnant? Tired, Nauseous and since we weren't "preventing" I was testing every 6 weeks or so...

3. Did it dry up your supply? Not yet but I have started weaning and nursing less so that is reducing my supply.

3. Did it dry up your supply? No, I plan on BF'ing my DS until he is a year old (we have two months to go)

2. i had my first PP AF when dd was 9 months and the 2nd never showed up.  

2. nope, i continued to BF until #1 was a year (but it was only 2.5 months)

 

i would be careful if you don't want to get PG, but if you don't care, have fun!
