Sewing classes?

Where can I find a good class to brush up my skills a bit?  I have several projects in the works and I just got my machine in shape.  I prefer weekend classes.  If you have taken a class, where did you go?

  • I've thought about taking classes but I seem to learn alot from tutorials and youtube so far Its all been self taught. I lurk alot on the nest craft board and they could probably suggest some easy projects for beginners.

  • I used to sew all the time.  I just need to brush up a bit.  My machine needed some major oiling and new needles etc, but it is good to go.  I am just afraid I have lost my skills.  You Tube, really?  I am running over there to look now!  I would love to know where you found the tutorials too.  I might try some net learning to save time.

  • I was just at Hancock Fabrics on Colerain today and saw a sign for classes starting.  I would imagine that their other locations would have them too.

  • JoAnn Fabrics always has classes going on.  I took a class there but it was quite awhile ago.
