Mod Podge or adhesive spray???

I'm going to create my own wall decor and thinking of gluing some scrapbook paper to canvas.  I've never done this before.  So, I don't know what type of adhesive to use.  I need something that won't wrinkle the paper.  Someone recommended spray adhesive, but I heard from others that Mod Podge works well, too.  I've never used either product.  What do you ladies recommend?  If there's something better, please let me know.  Thanks!

i did a project like that with mod podge matte and it worked pretty well, although i'm wondering if mod podge paper would be even better (i didn't even know they made that until recently).  It did take me a few topcoats with the matte to ensure that the paper really was stuck to the canvas.

    Good luck!

You did use it underneath to glue the paper to the canvas first, right? I only had to do one coat on mine, so just checking!

yup, sure did!  Maybe it's because i had several layers of paper on top of each other on the canvas?  Thanks for checking Smile

  • Mod Podge should work...I personally would stay away from the spray adhesive - it's quite noxious.
