I'm back at work full time so I pump bottles during the day, then nurse at night and all weekend. Last Saturday DD rejected the breast (after nursing 2 times earlier that day with no problem). She was so hysterical and not willing to even try to latch that I ended up having to give her a bottle of pumped BM.
Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know why she would be fine for one feeding and completely rejecting me the next? (Besides the fact that she's used to the speed of the bottle and doesn't want to "work" for her food!)
Thanks!
Re: Rejecting the breast?
just posted about something similar to this on 0-6. my LO nurses fine during his middle of the night feeding but is also showing signs of preferring the bottle. it sucks.
i'm going to try my best to keep putting the breast to him first, and hopefully that works.
