NT Scan...

will my doctor offer it to me?  Do I need to ask?  It hasn't come up in the process of them helping me TTC but I know we want to have it done....

I am seeing a high risk doctor already.... hmmm?  Anyone know?

If you're seeing a high-risk dr I'm sure they'll offer it to you. I loved our NT scan...it was an awesome experience for us. GL!

Alice, if you are seeing a Peri I am sure they will tell you all about it at your first appt.  They will give you pamphlets about what the NT scan is, why it is optional and what it will be looking for.  They usually give you until your next appt to decide if you are going to do it. 

If you are curious about it, you can just call your insurance co. now and ask what their coverage is on it that way when you get the info from your Dr you can let them know if you are interested.  The good news is soon all insurances are going to cover because it will soon be standard practice.

I see a regular OB and they offered it to me. I thought it was pretty standard these days. I also have the option of the quad screen and some others. I still don't know what we will do and I also need to figure out what my insurance will cover. When I called them last week they were morons so I am compiling all the info for when I call back the next time.
