And all I have is a tiny portable a/c unit.

It's not supposed to get this hot in Oregon...

I'm miserable.

    I hear ya!  101 today and 104 foretasted for tomorrow!  I was pretty shocked that Portland was getting that hot, though-we kind of expect it this time of year!

    I feel your pain. I live just east of Seattle and my car said it was 102 degrees out when I was on my way to work. Thank goodness my DH got our new window a/c unit installed. I don't think I could survive another uncomfortably hot night. YUCK!!! I miss the rain!

    I know!  In Seattle it is horrible!!!!  And we are like you, no ac anywhere.  Luckily we have one in our bedroom.  Go to a movie at night -- they are normally very cold!
